The difference is huge and it’s real! We tested the two intercoolers on a bone stock GRC with NO TUNING while data logging through one of our Haltech elite 1500 ecu’s. Outside air temp was 55 degrees Fahrenheit and our dyno fans were on the same settings for each pull. We also did 3 back to back pulls to get it nice and hot but to also find an average. We know from testing this car in the past that heat soak is a big issue, we’ve noticed doing consecutive pulls the HP number kept decreasing with the stock FMIC. To compare this to a real life scenario think of it as losing power going into lap 2 or 3 of your track day. However with our new intercooler that was not the case at all, it actually increased in power with each pull. Our cold side actually never went above 70 degrees Fahrenheit while the oem FMIC touched 140!
